What is CommuniKate with Confidence?

CommuniKate with Confidence: 5 tools to develop your child’s communication skills is a 5 week, online course. The course will walk you through how to use simple but effective tools to develop your child’s communication skills, and coach you through putting them into action in your daily life.

How much does CommuniKate with Confidence cost?

CommuniKate with Confidence is £25 a week. This is bundled as a one off, up front fee of £125, which is non-refundable.

When does the next course start?

The first class launches on 4th June. You then have access to those videos for the rest of the 5 weeks, with the videos for the next tool being released a week later.

How does CommuniKate with Confidence work?

The course takes 5 weeks. Each week, you will have access to several videos to make you really confident you understand how and why you use each tool/strategy. I’ve also included how the tools link together, so there’s no room for confusion and demonstrate how to use each tool. These are all saved in individual videos, so you can come back and find the section you need, with ease.

You’ll also receive access to handouts to plan precisely when you’re going to use each tool in your week, with a follow up Q&A session so we can troubleshoot together.

The group cohort is purposefully kept really small, with no more than 10 people so there’s plenty of opportunity to ask your question and get the answer!

Who is CommuniKate with Confidence for?

CommuniKate with Confidence is for you, if any of these apply:

Why do you only release one tool a week?

This course is setting you up for success. Releasing each tool weekly means that you’ll have the ability to plan - in detail - precisely when you’re going to use each tool in your week to turn the great idea into great action.

By focussing on one tool or strategy each week, you’ll also have the ability to practise it lots and get proficient at using it, and it’ll become a habit. Consistent, accurate use of the tools is when we see your child make progress.

If I take part in CommuniKate with Confidence, will my child need further therapy?

This is really difficult to answer without having met you and your child, and even then, I can only make my best estimate.

Completing CommuniKate with Confidence doesn’t mean you definitely won’t need to access further Speech & Language Therapy for your child, but it does mean you’ll have taken the first steps.

Do I need to be concerned about my child’s communication skills to access CommuniKate with Confidence?

No! This course is for anyone with an interest in developing pre-schoolers communication skills.

I’m only concerned about my child’s stammering and/or speech sounds. Is this course for me?

While this course will give you tools and strategies that will be supportive, speech sound difficulties and/or a stammer is usually best supported with some individual one to one speech and language therapy that is tailored specifically to your child’s needs.

Does parents using the tools actually work? Will it help my child?

Yes! These tools/strategies are evidence based and it has been consistently shown that when parents/carers use these tools, their child has access to high quality interactions and a communication friendly environment - which makes learning language and communication skills easier!
